Tuesday membership meeting August 16th will be our election night for half of our group. Most if not all of the current board is willing to serve if elected again at our meeting. We will also accept nominations from the floor for those that have an interest in one of the 6 positions that are up for election. The 6 positions open for election are 2nd VP Gerald Ancell, Secretary Paul Rogalla, Archery Chair Kyle Reed, Rifle Chair Scott Huston, Rental Chair Jay Timmons and Property & Grounds Chair Kirk Fulton. If you have questions as to what is required to do in these positions please reach out to me at 515-229-7418 or email at president@warrenikes.com. Our meal will be handled by Kyle Reed and he likes to do hamburgers, sweetcorn and maybe some other veggies for us as well for the burgers. Again let me know if you plan on attending so that we can get him a head count. Plans are in the works to have our October Membership meeting as a celebration for the 100th anniversary of the Izaak Walton League. Meal will be planned for 6pm with a steak or chicken breast, a potato, veggie and salad along with Tea, Coffee, Water, and Lemonade for drinks. Plans are to have silent auction items on hand and we will be covering what the 2nd Century campaign for the IWLA is all about. Please go out and like our facebook page and if you are not a friend then please ask to join in that way too. We do use it to help keep up on activities we do or maybe some other last minute update about trap shooting or some other outage out at the chapter grounds. We are looking at having archery the next 4 Tuesdays 4:30 to 6pm for the youth so if you haven't been out there for a while come on back to shoot at the new archery range we have laid out now. We have targets ranged from 20 yards now out to 100 yards. Craig McIntyre, PresidentWarren County Ikes
